Claudia Morris is a woman of many talents. She trained both as a classical actress at Webber Douglas and as a singer with voice coach Ian Adams. She played Marsinah in Kismet at the Royalty Theatre, performed in Songbook at Sadler's Wells and also in Camelot at the Liverpool Playhouse. She was in Guys & Dolls at the Cheltenham Everyman Theatre and performed at The Hackney Empire. She was then in the original cast of Buddy in the West End, where she had the opportunity for a short period to play Buddy's wife Maria Elena. She sang and performed in Monte Carlo at the Grand Prix. During an extended break in her singing and acting career to bring up three children, Claudia directed her creative energies into new arenas with success. Inspired by having a daughter with severe food allergies, Claudia developed the first commercially successful allergy-free cake. Her creation was launched in 250 Sainsbury's stores in its first week, was awarded best product by the British Vegetarian society and given extensive media coverage on Breakfast TV, London Today and radio. Also during her break from performing, Claudia trained as a psychotherapist; She has been an accredited practitioner for five years. December 2008 saw a revival of Claudia's passion for singing, resuming her training with one of her original coaches Janet Edwards. Janet was pivotal in supporting and encouraging Claudia in resuming her musical career and it was her belief and enthusiasm that ignited the spark and set everything in motion again. "It was such a joy to be able to rediscover my voice again. I've never felt more fulfilled and energised. I decided to get back in contact with Janet after a very poignant dream. In my dream I was given the task of drawing myself and I questioned whether I should draw myself as sad, or as a singer. This dream was a clear indication to me that I would not feel fulfilled until I sang again." Claudia recorded her debut album with Simon Colam, London jazz and pop keyboard player, and musical director. Backed up by talented musicians and original material, including a song written by Michael Bruce, Claudia returned to the stage once more to perform in concert and to launch her debut album "Love & Demons". Since returning to her singing career, she has performed with her band at Lauderdale House in Highgate, the New End Theatre Hampstead, Pizza on the Park in Knightsbridge, The Spice of Life in Soho, Sadlers Wells Theatre in Farringdon, the Troubadour in Earls Court and at the prestigious Hôtel de Paris in Monte Carlo. With exciting new material carefully selected and months spent refining arrangements, a new album was ready for the studio.
