The Press Gang is a three-man sea chantey group that sings songs of the 1700’s, traditional Celtic pub tunes, and Civil War songs, and Victorian Christmas carols while dressed in authentic colonial sailor, Civil War sailor or pirate costume.

We have sung up and down the east coast for the last 6 years including : Lewes’ Seafaring days, Lewes Historical Society’s banquets in Lewes, Delaware, Harborfest (4 years) in Norfolk, Virginia; Mariners Museum Hampton-Roads, Rehoboth Beach and many other nautical events. We are currently the featured “pirates” of the “Real Pirate” special event taking place at Nauticus in Norfolk, Virginia.

We sing a cappella or with single guitar accompaniment. We have release four CD’s “Pressed into Service” May/ 2006, “Uncorked” June 2009, “United” our Civil War CD August/2010 and “The Holy and the Ivy” our Christmas CD August/2010.
Everything we do is historically accurate and done with simplicity.
