Marlowe's trilogy of musicals begins with Submission. We meet Lyle Sullivan when he is a struggling but aspiring author who can barely make his rent, and lives off of Spam soup, tuna casserole and dog food. After sending hundreds of submissions to publishers, Lyle finally gets his lucky break. But it isn’t without sacrifice: while he wants to stay true to his artistic vision, those around him insist he twist his work into something entirely different…something that will SELL. Lyle might have to learn a new meaning of the word submission. Will Lyle stay true, or will he sell out?
