DAVID ORTIZ comenzó a cantar profesionalmente a la temprana edad de nueve años. Por muchos años se presentó en programas de radio y televisión latinoamericana, así como en hoteles y centros nocturnos de renombre internacional. Durante esa época grabó para las compañías disqueras Montilla, RCA Victor, United Artists, Epic y Columbia/CBS (SONY).

No obstante, fue durante un momento de crisis personal - mientras se encontraba en México, cantando con el famoso Trío Los Panchos, y el continuo uso de las drogas afectaba su matrimonio y carrera artística - que hizo la mejor decisión de su vida, al entregarle su corazón a Jesucristo.

Hoy día, por la gracia de Dios, David es un respetado cantante y compositor, un elocuente predicador, conferencista, intérprete y maestro de la Biblia. En el género de la música cristiana, tiene numerosas grabaciones, incluyendo una en inglés, más su afamada alabanza, "El Ticket". Es Ministro Ordenado del Concilio General de Las Asambleas De Dios y un invitado frecuente de La Fraternidad Internacional de Los Hombres Cristianos de Negocios, cuyo propósito es el de presentarle el evangelio a profesionales, ejecutivos de alto niveles, gobernantes y presidentes de varios países.

A nivel académico, posee una Maestría en Divinidad del distinguido seminario teológico, Union Theological Seminary, afiliado a Columbia University en Nueva York, y ha enseñado en varias instituciones teológicas. Además, es un dinámico autor y ha escrito para varias revistas, incluyendo "Decision Magazine" del Dr. Billy Graham.

Siendo así, David Ortiz es, hoy por hoy, unos de nuestros valores de mayor formación en el mundo de la música cristiana. Actualmente, mantiene su residencia en Nueva Jersey, donde vive con su esposa y familia y de donde dirige el ministerio evangelístico que Dios le ha regalado.

DAVID ORTIZ began to sing professionally at the age of nine. For many years he appeared in various top-rated television and radio programs throughout Latin America and performed at many internationally renowned hotels, as well as the most prestigious nightclubs in the Spanish-speaking world. In addition, he recorded for such top recording labels as RCA Victor, United Artists, Epic and Columbia/CBS (Sony). However, it was during this time that David got caught up in the world of drugs and his marriage was at the brink of collapse. Yet, it was while he was singing alongside Latin America's most famous recording group that he had a life-changing experience that brought him to Jesus Christ.

Today, David is a highly respected and accomplished evangelist, Christian singer, composer and a masterful teacher of the Word of God. He has been a featured guest on the highly acclaimed CBN television program, The 700 Club, the Trinity Broadcasting Network, and other well-known radio and television programs throughout The U.S. and Latin America.

Although known throughout the Spanish-speaking Christian world as one of our best Christian vocalists, David is also a prolific writer, having written for such distinguished international publications as Dr. Billy Graham's, "Decision Magazine". In addition, he has also released numerous Christian recordings and has collaborated on many humanitarian projects to help feed the hungry and establish orphanages throughout various parts of Latin America and has been a frequent worldwide guest of the Full Gospel Businessmen's International Fellowship, a Christian organization that brings God's Word to top professionals, and other high-level executives, entrepreneurs, and distinguished government officials, including world dignitaries and various presidents of Spanish-speaking countries.

Within the world of academia, David holds a Master of Divinity degree from the prestigious Union Theological Seminary, Columbia University's School of Theology in New York.
