After his second album 'New Arrival', Tom planned on taking a bit of a hiatus from recording. It didn't last long, because in the month following it's release, he had already begun recording the album that would become 'Solid Rock'. The first featuring rock oriented, electric guitar-driven material, it takes the listener on a journey and showcases another side of Tom's musical creativity. Christ-centered lyrics, rock and roll music and the classic hymn gave it's title a double-meaning. Tracks 9-16 are a medley comprised of unfinished and previously unused material, inspired by the second side of the Beatles 'Abbey Road' LP. The acoustic style his fans know and love can still be heard throughout the album, giving the album more variety than his previous efforts.
