Musically speaking, these are some of my favorite songs I've written. I'm primarily a classic rock and blues guy, but I was listening to a lot of classic country at the time I was writing this record, and that shines through, not on all the songs, but certainly on some. Lyrically speaking, this album is one of my most transparent and revealing, heartfelt expressions yet. There are tracks that I honestly considered leaving off of it because they were too personal. Certain of these tracks just stir things in my heart with memories that are painful for me. In the end I'm glad I included every one of them as I think they translate well to the listener.
