Tonight (Best You Ever Had)
John Legend taps down south rapper Ludacris for his new song, 'Tonight (Best You Ever Had),' which lands on the upcoming film soundtrack for 'Think Like a Man,' starring Chris Brown. The track from the 33-year-old soul crooner, who's releasing a new album in the months to come, dropped Wednesday (Jan. 25).
On the song, which opens up with Legend cooing over a minimal drum pattern, the Ohio native flirts with a woman who's caught his corporal desires. "Ain't this what you came for/ Don't you wish you came more/ Girl what you playin' for/ Come on, come on let me kiss that/ Ooh I know you miss that/ What' wrong, let me fix that/ Twist that," he sings as the beat progresses into a finger-snapping tune.
The G.O.O.D. Music signee opts to lose control with his lady and delivers a sentiment that would either throw her into a frenzy or a fit. "I don't want to brag but I'll be the best you ever had." Ludacris adds a verse, serving up comedic lines like "'cause seven days a week you're my five-course meal."
