And now for something completely different... EM.PULSE is the long-awaited new release from Hanaus most innovative and respected techno producer, D. Diggler aka Andreas Muegge. It is a appetizing work of staggering genius which forges a very different path from his 1999 debut 12 Boogiemonster and his albums Feel my Heat and Atomic Dancefloor. Where Feel my Heat was an exaggerated dub influenced collage which was mainly driven by Basic Channel EM.PULSE is deconstructing the history of techno and reassembled it into a breathtaking tangle of minimal sound. Altogether the album is more atmospheric while yet minimal, involving mood-driven soundscapes and is blended together on one go. Rather than cramming all his influences onto one record, EM. PULSE shows Diggler taking a more organic, personal approach to his art. Muegge takes his inspiration from the world around him (not always musical), creating a dizzying environmental sound. The same musical influences are still there, but toned down and mutated into a more cohesive and mature album. EM.PULSE was a year in the making, recorded solely in his small private basement studio. As well as providing all of the music, Muegge also self-produced the record. There are 18 spectacular tracks which reflects the mood at the party as well as the after hour the next morning. Always modern, minimal and deep with the typical D. Diggler trademark we all like: rolling basslines. It has been one year since the release of his last 12 on Resopal, and during this time he has toured the world extensively and collaborated with many different artists on remixes etc. Format will be 2x12 vinyl and cd.
